I used to sell the blank ones as well as the patterns when I worked at AC Moore in NJ. I think Dimensions made patterns; of course these were counted patterns and not stamped. You can also try Janlynn and DMC.

I saw one on Venus swimwear’s website, same style; two colors. One white, one tan/nude. I’ve bought a couple of bikinis from them (approx. 7 yrs ago) and they still look great. They are located in Florida. Best of all, they are made in the US & not China. http://www.venus.com

I made a crocheted bikini from worsted yarns probably 35 yrs ago. The pattern I used needed a lot of help, and was not wearable near the water. Be sure whatever you do that you add a strand of #30 crochet thread to your working strands so that it doesn’t stretch very much. The pattern I used called for crocheting 2 triangles that fit over the breasts connected by a crochet band and crochet neck strap. It was double crochet in the triangles and singles in the bands.More than that I cannot help as I cannot remember what magazine I found the pattern in. I do know it was one of the popular crochet mags of the time.

you take the yarn of each ball and hold both strands together and crochet with them as one.

I learned how to crotchet in 4th grade and I’ve never forgotten how. Try this YouTube site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVBnFHGbeK4&feature=relatedThe woman’s voice could put a hyperactive monkey to sleep, but she seems to know what she’s doing.Good luck!

You will be making a slip stitch into the very top stitch of the ch 3, and yes, ch 3 is a chain consisting of 3 chains. It can be a loop or just a spacer like in a granny square.EDIT: I have just followed your directions and made what you are making. You will be slip stitching into the 2nd chain ( middle one ). You go thru both loops. Hope this explains things a bit clearer.

Sounds like double crochet. At the end of the row, chain 3, turn the whole thing around, and continue on across the row.

Here’s a page that explains several methods for attaching crocheted tops to kitchen towels (along with some links to free patterns that may be helpful also): http://crochet.about.com/library/weekly/aa032297.htm

We need a little more information to help you.I remember dresses where the top was crocheted, (like a normal top,) and a skirt was sewn on.I also remember dresses that had a little crocheting in the topmost part, but no more than just decoration. And many styles somewhere in between. If you add details to you question, or post a new question with more details, we can help you to find what you are looking for.If you do not want to wait for that, try entering dress, crochet+fabric into the search bar, Google have found me the most amazing things with no more information than that.

I don’t think your going to find a published pattern for this. it looks like it could be a fun and possibly frustrating project! I would start by making a mesh base(like filet crochet) then fill in the grid using dc, chain3, dc in each square to mimic the tab part of the purse. You could maybe use metalic bedspead-weight cotton to give it the silver sheen.Hope this helps.Happy crocheting!

Your repertoire of 4 stitches is all you really need! I would work top down if it was me. As you work down and you get to the part where you want to widen the cape, you can add a stitch at the beginning of every row or add a stitch at the beginning and end of every row. Depends on how much flare-out you want at the ends! You could make a hood pretty easily of two rectangles seamed down the middle and across the top (think seamed L shape) and the attach the long unseamed back part across the back of the neck/top portion of the cap. It would work, even without shaping. Here are some for inspiration and general sizing/diagramming/yarn estimates, some are complete crochet patterns:http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/chs-cape.htmlhttp://web.archive.org/web/20011030193314/http://www.cei.net/~vchisam/groovy/7207.htmlhttp://groups.msn.com/TheCarrotPatchCarole/yourwebpage9.msnwhttp://groups.msn.com/TheCarrotPatchCarole/rahrahcape.msnwThe faerycrafty.com site is pretty neat, too.Try also lionbrand.com for free patterns.
