If you are like me, you need a little bit on information before making a buying decision. Here’s a description of Baby Booties for you.
Imagine for a moment you are looking all over online for Baby Booties. Wait. are you? If so, then listen up. I was in your shoes once, so I’m going to save you the hassle of researching Baby Booties any further. Take a look at the prices I’ve found for you and then you decide if you’re ready to buy Baby Booties right now.
Any suggestions on DIY crafts or projects for a new baby boy...not booties or blankets...?
I am going to have baby boy in Baby Booties a couple of weeks; I want to make something for him but I am low on artistic inspiration. I don't want to make a blanket or booties...I'll leave that up to Granny. Plus, I live in Hawaii so it would be impractical anyway...any suggestions???

There are a lot of websites with patterns; I’ve posted a few in “sources.” Also check your local library as there are often donated books of patterns that you can borrow. And of course the stores where you buy yarn will have patterns; Leisure Arts specializes in booklets of baby items.

Knit a bobble at the point you would have placed the buttons. They don’t come off, don’t alter the pattern terribly, allow the booties to be unbuttoned and buttoned, and are attractive. Plus, you don’t have to buy anything more for them.Whenever you do use buttons, however, use a small, flat shirt button on the inside and sew the buttons on with matching embroidery floss. Then sew through the outer button and the holes on the inner button. This prevents the yarn from pulling out from buttoning and unbuttoning things, and helps to reinforce the sewing. Embroidery floss doesn’t fray as much or as quickly as yarn would. Another great thing to sew buttons on (and not just on baby things) is matching perle cotton.

Lion brand has some booties that use size 8 needles. You’ll have to register to see the pattern, but it’s free. Here’s a link…be sure to look at the second page, too:http://www.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/patternFinder.fcgi?search=Search&searchText=booties+knitAnd here’s a pair that take size 5 needles. You can expand the instructions by clicking “see more”:http://www.kaboodle.com/rhorner79/knitting/2-needle-knit-baby-booties-from-lionAnd, the lavender Pom Pom Booties at the bottom of this page use size 5:http://happyasianwomenknitting.com/?cat=4There’s links to a whole bunch of bootie patterns on this page. I have no idea what size needles any of them use, but it would be easy for you to check:http://knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/baby_booties_mittens.php

i also do knitting and crochet items – it is very difficult to get what u think these items are worth – since your time is never re-cooped in the sale – i try to use the items that i make to be in a raffel – try to get the price of the materials plus that figure added for your labor. good luck – they make excellent presents if u give them as gifts. in a raffel u can deduct the price paid as tax- deduction, if it is for a non-profit situation

It is acctually quite simple. Get a chunk of fondant….you can get pastel colors at Hobby Lobby or Walmart and just mold it into what you want. Remember to not get it wet. If fondant gets wet it turns to glue. Good luck and have fun!! Just picture it in your mind and before you know it your table will be filled with little baby feet.

You basically sew the seams of the bootie together. The mattress seam ( http://knitty.com/issuespring04/mattress.html ) is a pretty basic method.

If you like to sew, you can find Simplicity and McCall’s patterns for things like a diaper stacker you hang in the closet, diaper bags of various styles, safe baby toys, traveling changing pads, and all sorts of fun accessories. If you have a Joann Fabrics store anywhere near you, they’re having a sale on patterns just now. I forget which brands are on sale, but it’s a good price. If you don’t have one of those near you, there’s always http://www.joann.com. They have the same sales online. Then you could get your fabric somewhere locally.
