why not test the market first before plunging in? do a mini market research by making just a few scarves, say a dozen. Then go around town and offer it to mothers or their children, and ask if they would buy such a product and for how much are they willing to pay. This way, you will get a feel of how your market will respond to your product — and how much they are willing to pay for the product. You can then price the scarves accordingly.

Hot water and half cup of table salt. Run it in the wash machine just like you would wash clothes. If it a big sweet shirt use a whole cup of salt. double rinse cold water.

Since I’m not sure of your crochet skills and beginner can be a wide range (are you just learning the basic stitches? Have you branched out in to scarves, hats, full garments? Can you read a pattern?) I thought that I’d link you to a part of my favorite crochet pattern site: http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/mittens_gloves.phpThere‘s a plethora of patterns there and I’m sure you’ll be able to find one that will be at your skill level. Good luck!

I don’t know specifically, but if you have a beanie pattern, you could do a long straight section before starting to decrease (most beanies don’t have much of a straight section). If it’s for you, you could hold the straight bit up against your own head to work out when you need to start the decrease.

http://www.leisureartslibrary.com/One of the patterns from it, according to Jennie Gaskin ofhttp://www.countryyarns.com is a rainbow ripple baby blanket, the most popular pattern from this leaflet. Since this is the pattern you wanted from it, you can buy it from LA itself. In the online catalog area, look under Crochet, then under Baby. It is item #8000006 and it is only $2.99, it is cute, I will definitely buy it myself someday LOL. Thanks to Jennie, I found this. This is a follow up to my prior answer, I told you she is quick to give feedback…:)

Is the pattern you’re working on online? Perhaps if you had a link to the pattern or you could add the details of the part of the pattern that is giving you trouble, we could help you figure it out.
