Check out this review:
No joke, when I was looking for Christening Gown the other day, I was having one heck of a time finding it online. When I did finally find it, I made sure I bought it quickly. What follows is my review.
I was impressed with Christening Gown plain and simple. When I placed my order, I had in in my hands within 3 days and that’s no joke. The key is looking for a seller with over a 100 feedback rating on Ebay. I’ve even included an Ebay listing to Christening Gown in this review to make it even easier on you.
How do I get chewing tobacco stains Christening Gown out of my baby daughter's christening gown?

I saw them at Burlington Coat Factory a few weeks ago. I am also pretty sure that big department stores like Penney’s, BonTon, and Macy’s have them.

Ahh s#!+ — your wife’s gonna kill you now. Better try pouring some beer over it, lol
No wait, that’d be a waste of good beer. What would Larry the Cable Guy do?

Hi,Please do not wash your gown. My daughter did that to my chistening gown and ruined it. It just shredded it. My advice is to take it to a professional who restores fine lace, and satin items. This maybe a little expensive, but at least you will have a restored gown that you can continue to charish.

Try bridal stores in the flower girl dress section.

If I could have afforded one I would have wanted one that was elegant yet simple. Not a lot of embroidery on it, maybe some at the top (chest area). Plain back, maybe button up to give it a nice back. Maybe some lace or something at the bottom to add a nice touch. I’m old fashioned and plain LOL.

A Christening Gown or Dress is a garment worn when you are being baptized. They are usually white and they represent your innocence and purity after you are baptized. Symbolically your sins aren’t white but when you get baptized, they are washed away. Hope this helps.

If you hire a reputable framing service it will cost you at least $150 and as much as you care to spend. Sky is the limit when it comes to frames. If you want to do it yourself, you can get these kind of frames at hobby shops. Don’t buy a plastic frame. I highly recommend natural stained wood for a vintage item like this. I recommend that you discard the glass that typically comes with those kits and buy a piece of UV glass of the same dimensions, which will protect the material from any sun damage over the years–usually those chain store hobby shops also have frame shops that can sell you this glass. I also recommend that you study photos of how other people have mounted similar garments. Lastly, take your time with this project.

That’s obviously the whole point of a “christening gown”. I say it’s the correct thing to do. Yes, I like tradition and continuity with past generations.

If the Mrs. Stewarts doesn’t work. I know you can try the fresh lemon juice and waterbath on the lace, and put it in the sun to remove the stains. This works great on stained antique tablecloths. As a last resort you can carefully remove the lace to clean it as the gown itself may not withstand all the washings. Hand stitching it back on isn’t that difficult. If it doesn’t come clean then just remove it, and or replace it. Natural yellowing comes with age and fibre content and sometimes cannot be removed. Good Luck

It is beautiful, but definitely go with a white ribbon. It is unisex and can be used for all of your children.
