Hmmm, pacifier holder, burp clothes, bottle cover, a mobile, teddy bear, washcloths, bath mitt. You’ll find lots of ideas and links to the directions here:http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/baby_selection.php.

If I knew, I’d tell…My guess would be to try a Michael’s, if you have one. They have stuff like that, that you can do at home..Worth a try. I’m going to go look tomorrow, because I think that is a great idea! Good Luck..And if I find out where soon, I will let you know!!

My advice, is to double crochet one row and single crochet back, double the next, single the next all the way to the end. The reason is this will keep your work from slanting and refreshes the foundation for every double knit row. You don’t have to use 2 strands, but 2 will probably give it just a bit more weight and body, thus added warmth.

hmmm I don’t see how you are going to do this. Doesn’t a baby’s car seat come across the shoulders and buckle with one between the legs? So both shoulders are held down and then the one between the legs.I can’t imagine how you would do an opening for a buckle. WHAT buckle? the one that connects all three? That is pretty big….Edit…Ok…this is one like my grandson has but his is brown and green. Graco is a good company.I have tried to find one on the internet to see if I could see how to do it and I did find one at Lands end that has an opening for a baby seat…look at it and see if that helps. Let me know I am curious.http://www.landsend.com/pp/CableFleecelinedBunting~178234_-1.html?bcc=y&action=order_more&sku_0=::XEV&CM_MERCH=IDX_00007__0000001031&origin=indexThis is a beautiful project by the way.

I glanced through this website…. http://crochetpatterncentral.com/directory.php .. and didn’t see it, but I wasn’t looking too closely. Even if it doesn’t help you in this case, it’s an excellent resource for finding patterns.

Nothing..since I have about three people in my family who will make a hand-crocheted (or knitted) blanket for each of my children. I have to admit that sometimes I wish I would only get one, since they are so fragile. I guess you could pay maybe 40 bucks for a big one. But I wouldn’t pay a whole lot for a little baby one…maybe 20?

I have made those baby headbands using a strand of elastic thread along with a strand of yarn to crochet the things. I have also made lots of the bands and some snoods for others using the pony tail bands.Get the round elastic that is fiber covered. measure it the length you want it, overlap and put the fabric tube on it or crochet over it or what ever else you want to do. It comes in very fine about size 40 and up to a quarter inch.Get the round elastic from any sewing department.

This is what I could find.http://cuddles-uk.org/ripplebabyblanketpatt.htmhttp://jillmc.tripod.com/ripple.htmlThe two above may be the same pattern. They say it looks good in variegated yarn but have no picture. The next one, look at the green variegated. If you want to make it I can help by increasing you picture and counting the stitches. Apparently no question as to the variegated yarn but to be safe have her pick the yarn and you wont have to make the mistake in getting the wrong color.http://www.thefind.com/crafts/info-ripple-afghan-patternhttp://www.angelfire.com/tx5/angelcrafts/patterns/roundripple.htmlhttp://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474976910272http://www.askkids.com/resource/Free-Round-Ripple-Afghan-Pattern.htmlThis next one is unusual. Look at the beginning of each ripple it is not an error but part of the pattern if you want to http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=110717

All the baby pants I’ve seen start at the waist and work downward. You could start with a basic baby pants pattern (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=108032) and change it to suit your taste.
