I glanced through this website…. http://crochetpatterncentral.com/directory.php .. and didn’t see it, but I wasn’t looking too closely. Even if it doesn’t help you in this case, it’s an excellent resource for finding patterns.

Since I’m not sure of your crochet skills and beginner can be a wide range (are you just learning the basic stitches? Have you branched out in to scarves, hats, full garments? Can you read a pattern?) I thought that I’d link you to a part of my favorite crochet pattern site: http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/mittens_gloves.phpThere‘s a plethora of patterns there and I’m sure you’ll be able to find one that will be at your skill level. Good luck!

If you can crochet, then you really shouldn’t have too much trouble making up your own pattern to do this. It would depend on the thickness of the yarn as to how many crochet stitches you would need, but I doubt that you would need too many.Sorry I can’t give you further directions as I learn to crochet using English terms and the US stitches are totally different to English. Years ago I crocheted a ‘finger beanie’ for my son when he had a broken finger as he wanted a darker cover and more protection than the bandage and splint that was put on his finger. I just started off with about three or four chains, did a couple of crochet stitches into each stitch as a second round, then did a couple more increases in the 3rd round until it seemed wide enough, then just kept doing more rounds until I got to the right length. Make sure you do a couple of longer stitches close to the top so that you can put a drawstring through and you shouldn’t have any problems.Hope this helps. Good luck.

You also will need to familiarize yourself with the abbreviations so you can read a pattern. Try to begin slowly and when you can make a chain, then move on to the single stitch (sc) then the double crochet stitch (dc) . These are the ones you will use the most, so practice, practice, practice.

It’s latch hooking. It’s very simple to do — too simple, really. But it can be good mindless work while “watching” TV or while chatting with friends.Take one of the folded lengths of yarn (all pre-cut) with the hook through it. You insert the hook from the front to the back under one of the threads in the mesh, always in the same direction so the yarn ends point the same way in the end. When the hook is through, push the hook far enough forward so that little latch opens all the way (most important) and you catch the tail which are on the other side of the hole. Pull the tails through the first loop you made (It takes longer to explain than to do!!). You are making larkshead knots really.Push through, catch end, pull through. You can do these very quickly, when you have all your yarn prepared. You have a painted mesh, so just follow that, and you will be fine. It’s not hard.http://www.woolneedlework.com/latch_hook/how_to_latch_hook_instructions.htmhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0zVFvRF9O4And there are many more.

I would consider who is asking. Because I crochet, I can spot crochet work a mile a way – even if it is purchased. I know that crochet has to be done by hand.Knitting, however, is more often done on machine and is more common. The next time someone asks you about your crocheted scarf, ask them if they crochet. I bet they do — otherwise they wouldn’t know that the difference between the two.I would take it as a compliment to your skills. Crochet has become a fashionable hobby where I work and we all talk about it and help each other do it.

If you are not from the U.S. and are using a U.S. pattern it might seem confusing… I say that because you say you normally place a dc in the 3rd chain from your hook. Here is a site with a conversion chart. http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/crochetstitches.htm If you are from the U.S. the first answerer is correct.

Try asking on the following forum. It’s all about crochet, so perhaps someone there has seen it.http://www.crochetville.org/forum/

The ch 3 is supposedly a dc so do 3 dc and a ch 2, 4 dc ch 2 In other words you will have a total of 4 dc and a 2 ch between them This is what it will lok like with The “|” as a dc and the “-” as the chain but will be in a circle | | | | – - | | | | – - | | | | — | | | | – - with the last 2 – - conneting it to a ring.

I heard that it should be left in for no longer than a month. I think that they are cute, but i wouldn’t waste all that time and money for just a month’s hair-do

Hot water and half cup of table salt. Run it in the wash machine just like you would wash clothes. If it a big sweet shirt use a whole cup of salt. double rinse cold water.
