Ravelry.com It’s a free website for crochet and knitting. They have jewelry patterns listed as well.

I find selling crochet patterns on etsy to be pretty profitable once you get going. Make sure your tags are all filled out. In each tag space you can fit at least three words. Say you are trying to sell a pattern for a pink crochet beanie. In one tag space you may put: pink hat beanie etc. If you want some more examples you can check out my site http://www.etsy.com/shop/crochetmyloveAlso you may try joining the team etsy promo love. Make treasuries of others work and they will return the favor. Try to make your photography as bright and clear as you can. You can even find professional photographers to do trades with via alchemy (just make sure you follow the rules)Another place that is good for selling crochet patterns is Ravelry.com Their search engine makes it easier for customers to find patterns Good luck!

Register on Ravelry.com. It is a huge and hugely popular site with tons of patterns from beginner to expert. Registration takes a few days though, because you will be put on a waiting list. Don’t be impatient. It’s well worth the wait.

If you mean copying patterns for each other, that’s copyright infringement. Swapping/trading patterns can be hard to arrange because you have to find someone who both wants what you have and has something you want.Your public library has lots of crochet books, and can probably get even more for you through an interlibrary loan. There are thousands of free crochet patterns online. This site has compiled links to hundreds of them: http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory.php

This was discussed on KnitTalk (a yahoogroup) last year, and the consensus was that very few patterns exist. The best recommendation was to use knitter’s graph paper and create your own design. I did find one site that has a few graphs and the owner indicates that she would create new ones if you want someone else to do it.
