If you learn to make a chainless double foundation, you may crochet without counting. Just crochet until you reach the length you need.An even prettier option would be crochet cording. Again, crochet the length you need for each letter.Check out the tutorials below. Really, it’s worth it!I really like this idea & may do some for baby gifts.Happy crocheting!!!!!!

Try British web sites for catalogues of pattern books, or go to Britsh crest or clan sites and ask them for direction.

buy graph paper, write on the paper the words you want ot crochet, then draw a border around it your choice of shape, then do a foundation chain and double crochet all the way across, then start on the pattern, double crochet in the squares that have a mark in them, and chain in the spaces that have no marks in them. contact me privately if you still have questions
