I'm looking for free sites to print vintage and antique Crochet Patterns ?
Hello. I am looking for as many free vintage crochet patterns as I can possibly get! For Christmas this year, I am compiling a huge folder of patterns for my Mom. She loves to crochet with vintage patterns, Vintage Crochet but has so many books in her collection already, I'm scared to buy her any more (in case I accidentally get duplicates of ones she already owns). So, I went out and bought a whole bunch of paper and ink to print a large assortment of them. I am looking for doilies (pineapple patterns especially), and any other pattern from the 1950's and before. I do have many already, but am still looking for more. So I thought this would be a great way for everyone to post links to sites and free ebooks of their favorite patterns so that we can all share. Thanks!!!

The site works for me… maybe try using a different browser to view it. I’m using firefox right now.If that doesn’t work, I found this pattern. I’m not sure if it’s what you’re looking for, but,http://freepages.misc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~homespun/jewelry.html

Crochet thread and sewing threads are manufactured differently. Cotton yarn/thread does not stretch. Machine embroidery and some sewing thread are polyester and do stretch.Size 70 crochet thread is not the same as 70 weight machine embroidery bobbin thread.

Here’s a handy conversion chart.http://www.yarnstandards.com/hooks.htmlA size 5 = an F = 3.75mmI don’t think anybody knows for sure why there are so many labels for a size of a hook. But the little chart comes in handy sometimes.

Yes there should be cotton packed inside. You should be able to access the wick from the underside. Push it through from the bottom with something like an ice pick.

Etsy is gaining a lot of popularity as time goes on, and recognition. Yeah sometimes people will copy your stuff, but when you find a unique item you can make, people won’t be able to reproduce it, especially if you have one-of-a-kind fabrics or other materials. There are hundreds of stitch markers available, for example, but one kind will stand out to a certain person. As the ofirst answerer said, patterns can be a good way to make money as long as you are able to write instructions well.Etsy is probably not the place to sell a ton of items and make millions but if you have a blog or other places you can put your name out there, you could draw in some supplemental income. Don’t be afraid to try it!

The links don’t work…………………..regardless: for any interview, no matter what company, you want to dress as a professional would; for a man ( which I know you are not
, a suit is an almost must; for a woman, dress slacks and a nice blouse ( not sure about that sweater ) is proper sttire. Also, wear little jewelry or perfume, and if you have any piercings / tatoos, then you will limit yourself very much as to who will hire you

Clothing to me is a symbol of identity in the dream. Vintage clothing would mean to me a very unique identity; not one that is taken on by many these days. Perhaps you are still in a phase of forming your identity, and you desire to be more unique, more eccentric.
