Here’s a cute little one. You could use different yarns to get the look you want if white’s not appropriate. http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=42777

You can find some crochet patterns for babies (some of which might be suitable for a boy) at:http://www.crochetnmore.com/baby.htmhttp://crochet.about.com/od/babyclothes/http://crafts.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Free_Baby_Crochet_PatternsIf those sites don’t have what you’re looking for, try a search on “free crochet patterns baby” and Happy Crocheting!

I did a search a few weeks ago and couldn’t find much out there, unfortunately. Here are a couple sweater/coat-type things:http://www.crochetnmore.com/thedoghouse.htmhttp://www.doggoneknit.com/patterns/crochet/onepiecesolid.htmlhttp://www.crochetnmore.com/dogsweater.htmI ended up trying the last one because it didn’t have sleeves or armholes and therefore wasn’t as complicated. Here is my doggie in the finished product:http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2235/2045282125_3414b6393a.jpghttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2189/2045283169_376900c72a.jpgGood luck.

Why is it necessary to copy and paste them? If you’re going to email them to your friend, just send her the links and she can look at the complete pattern herself right at the source. If she doesn’t have email, just print them off directly from the screen for her. There is no need to copy and paste full patterns including photos unless you’re trying to get around copyright or advertising, which is illegal. Most sites that offer free patterns make up their lost revenue in not charging for the patterns by using advertising. It’s a small price to pay when you consider someone took a considerable amount of time to create and publish the pattern.

What kind are you looking for? I have patterns for blankets which use yarn. I also have patterns for doilies that use the crochet thread. I would be willing to copy them and mail them. All I need is an address.

If you mean copying patterns for each other, that’s copyright infringement. Swapping/trading patterns can be hard to arrange because you have to find someone who both wants what you have and has something you want.Your public library has lots of crochet books, and can probably get even more for you through an interlibrary loan. There are thousands of free crochet patterns online. This site has compiled links to hundreds of them: http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory.php
