Crafters - some tips on selling your handmade items, please?
If you have a successful home-based business selling the items you create - what are your best tips for Bear Crochet selling your creations?? I am interested in making some extra money this way - and I make teddy bears, do decorative painting, knit afghans, crochet, sew. and do a variety of other crafts as well. Thanks in advance!!I would prefer not to sell on ebay - my budget won't allow for their fees. My money is tight right now.

You could try making a bear from a regular bear pattern, just with thread and the right hook. but it isn’t easy if you don’t know that basics of crochet, along with joining rounds, increasing, and decreasing

You’ve got it right. You increase each side every 6th row until you have 36. (Row 11, 17,23,etc) If you are having a really hard time doing the increase at the end of the row, you can put it at the beginning of the next row instead. When you stitch your seams together, you really won’t notice the difference.

If you have started this you probably have toooo many stitches. When you chained 2 and did 8 sc into the second st you would have had 9 sc. Check and see if this is the case and you do have too many stitches. The joined rounds help you make the circle which could be the body arm or leg of the bear. not join mean that it will either be sewn together or something will be sewn to that part of the work.

Is it possible for you to send me a copy of the pattern by e-mail or if you got it on the internet let me know where it was and I will do my utmost to reduce it for you. I think I have an idea where it can be done but would have to check the pattern.
