I couldn’t find a free one but you could buy it fairly cheap at http://www.maggiescrochet.com for 10 care bears both cheer and share in it.Or you could find a basic bear pattern and make it look like a care bear. You can find free patterns for bears at crochetpatterncentral.comGood Luck

The stitches in the American system start with slip stitch (insert hook, yo, draw through st). The British system calls that st single crochet and has no sl st (except possibly to join a beginning ch into a ring). From that point on, the British system is “one crochet” ahead of the American system:American . . . . . . . . . . Britishsingle crochet . . . . . . . double crochethalf double crochet. . . . half treble crochetdouble crochet. . . . . . . treble crochettriple crochet. . . . . . . . double treble crochetdouble triple crochet . . treble treble crochettriple triple crochet . . . quadruple treble crochetApparently, Canada uses the American system and Australia uses the British system except that they name them “triple crochet” and so on.

Here are some sites with free doll patterns. I did not review the sites for sizes but you can browse them for exact or similar sizes:http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/dolls_clothes.phphttp://barbscraftbooks.tripod.com/barbscrochet/id34.htmlhttp://crafts.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Free_Crochet_Doll_PatternsThis forum is free to join. They probably have some also but you’ll need to search and they have a search option. They will be original patterns submitted by members:http://www.crochetville.org/forum/

There are a few on this site, lionbrand.com. Totally free. I love this site, the patterns (most of them) are free and easy to read. Hope this helps. Not sure what food you are looking for exactly. Scroll down this page:http://cache.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/patternFinder.fcgi?search=Search&searchText=amigurumi&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

Register on Ravelry.com. It is a huge and hugely popular site with tons of patterns from beginner to expert. Registration takes a few days though, because you will be put on a waiting list. Don’t be impatient. It’s well worth the wait.

Why is it necessary to copy and paste them? If you’re going to email them to your friend, just send her the links and she can look at the complete pattern herself right at the source. If she doesn’t have email, just print them off directly from the screen for her. There is no need to copy and paste full patterns including photos unless you’re trying to get around copyright or advertising, which is illegal. Most sites that offer free patterns make up their lost revenue in not charging for the patterns by using advertising. It’s a small price to pay when you consider someone took a considerable amount of time to create and publish the pattern.

That is SO COOL! A hat like your avatar! Here’s one!http://www.yarncat.com/newsboy_cappatt.htmlThis one REALLY looks like yours:http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=93&d_id=22&lang=enIt’s in British English, so you’ll need to do some substitution. Their double crochet is OUR single crochet, their treble is OUR double crochet, etc. Here’s another one, not so large:http://grannysquarewoman.blogspot.com/2006/01/red-newsboy-hat.htmlTake a look at this pattern, too:http://mycrochetstuff.blogspot.com/2006/01/beret-cap-with-brim.htmlThis one is rather cute, too:http://www.crochetandknitting.com/brimhat.htmOkay, I think my favorite is this one:http://www.baycrochet.com/patberet.htmHope this helps!!

Crochet Pattern Central: http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory.phpAll of the yarn companies in the U.S. with broad appeal have web sites with both crochet and knitting patterns. I particularly like these two:Berroco: http://www.berroco.com/item_fr/fr_crochet.html Lion Brand: http://www.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/patternList.fcgi?tXX=1&s=Crochet&l=1And Knitting Daily has some good ones: http://www.knittingdaily.com/blogs/patterns/archive/tags/Free+Patterns/Crochet/default.aspx
