Rafael can run at 12mph, Edith Molina Edith runs at 10mph. Rafael lost his car keys and went back to look for them while Edith started down the course. If Rafael was back at the starting line 15 minutes after Edith left, how long will it take him to catch up to her? Please explain. Thanks!

All that history is so cool. Maybe you should watch Troy or something to comprehend it more. The early hereos show us that they were men too, before they were hereos. As we can see from the stories that all the men who were hereos were all tragically flawed or made bad mistakes as well.

She almost certainly wrote it in French but some 50 years ago. I would guess that all versions and translations of the original book are long out of printThe english version you can find now is a reprint made a few years ago, presumably because oif the demand following the recent plays/film about her. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edith_piafHere is a link for a german version! – cant find a french onehttp://www.amazon.de/Mein-Leben-Edith-Piaf/dp/3499108593/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1225534935&sr=1-2

We can solve this by using relative velocity.Firstly, since we know Edith can run 10mph, and since 15 minutes = 0.25 hour, therefore the distance Edith can run in 15 minutes will be 10*0.25=2.5 milesSecond, Rafael can run 12 mph, which is 2 mph faster than Edith. Therefore, he is gaining Edith at a speed of 2mph.Let t be the time that Rafael can catch up to her.Distance=Speed*Time2.5 miles = (2 mph)(t)t=1.25 hours = 1 hour and 15 minutes. Therefore, it will take Rafael 1 hour and 15 minutes to catch up with Edith.

She believed that the stem of what we call mythology today was other cultures interpreting logic and reason to others during their time. Perhaps what we think of as fact today will be perceived as a mythology to another culture a few hundred years from now.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edith_Hamilton

Before the ruling gods of Greece, they believed that the Titans ruled the earth.I used to date a Greek and we talked about mythology and how every story really means something else. I remember reading that Venus sprang from Jupiter’s head. You would assume that Venus is his daughter. But the story could mean many things. Velikovsky writes in Worlds in Collision that many ancient myths are based on actual cosmic events. He said he believed that our solar system had collided with another and that man saw it and then gave his proof. I’m not so sure about solar systems colliding but man did see many cosmic events and record them in their myths. Back to your question. . .I don’t remember all the names but Cronus, a Titan, was Zeus’s father. . .I think. . .and he was time. And then remember Promethius and he discovered Fire. The Titans represent the world before Zeus and the Titans personify all things. Sorry I don’t remember any more. I have never thought about this in your terms but yes, I think the saying is correct. I had always thought the Titans to be fierce beasts and perhaps the dinosaurs or whatever before man. But acutally this is much better. The personification of all things before the gods and man.

I used to write stories. I would frequently have female characters named Edith. When my friends would read my stories, they would comment on the names I would use for the characters — Cara, Emily, Savannah, Paige …. and Edith. They would act repulsed at the name Edith. Whether it was because the name was traditional, or maybe it was because of the contrast between Savannah and Edith, idk. They just never responded well to the name. I love the name so much. Main reasoning behind my love for the name is the act people don’t like it. It’s a classic name with femininity and recklessness to a decent extent. It’s dainty and very unpredictable. I don’t see why people have a problem with the name. I had Edith Rosabella as a combination. Because of the traditionalist feel of Edith, a good contrasting (modern) middle name might be your best bet to create the perfect combination. Well it depends. You’ll have to complete 24units in total to get the bachelor of aviation degree from ECU. Out of 24 units, most students choose 3 flying units and rest as theory units. If you are an international student you can expect to pay $2290 per theory unit. You are expected to choose 4 units per semester and hence complete the degree in 3years. So say you choose 21 theory units and it will cost $48090. Remember this $48090 does not include the flying cost. You’ll have to do minimum 150hours and must have ppl, cpl, tail wheel endorsement, csu and retractable gear endorsement + instrument/instructor rating to complete this course. And this would cost you about say $60000 approx. You can contact the head of Aviation – Capt. Andrew for more details.
