They are of the same genus, so technically they COULD, but that doesn’t mean they will. The offspring will probably be infertile. I just wouldn’t do it…

at 2 months they r quite small. u will see a big change in the next few weeks. they r the size they will be at 3-4 months of age. the bigger the cage the better. big cage=happy hamster. what kind do u have? u can add a 2nd cage to it if its the crittertrail type with tubes.it will live to be 2-3 yrs old—depends on how well u care for it & if it has any genetic problems.

You can’t put 2 of the same sex in a cage even if you have a male in there..If you did do that and 1 had babies she will end up killing her babies.

Things You’ll Need:White washcloths Vacuum cleaner Water •1 Inspect your teddy bear. Before you start cleaning, you must make sure there is no damage to your bear. Look for holes, missing buttons, rips or other physical damage. Repair the damage if possible, and be extra careful when cleaning around these spots.•2 Vacuum your teddy bear, using an upholstery tool, to get rid of loose dirt and debris on the surface of the bear. Do this carefully with delicate bears.•3 Use white washcloths to wash your bear with plain water. Using soap will leave a residue. Wring out the washcloth as much as possible and carefully wipe down the bear. Repeat with clean cloths until the bear is clean.•4 Be careful about where you leave your bear. Avoid throwing your bear on the floor or leaving the bear outside. Teach children to take care of their teddy bears in this way.•5 Dust your bear, if necessary. Teddy bears on display still need care and love. Dust them regularly.•6 Read the care instructions on your teddy bear. Some teddy bears are washing machine safe. Reading the label and following the directions ensures proper care.Tips & WarningsOnly use white cloths when cleaning your teddy bear. Dye transfer may occur if you use a colored towel..Dont bother much about the bow, it will not comeout if you dont pull it hard.

That’s a good start.Skip the cage cleaner unless it comes with the cage. Dishwashing liquid works just as well. The cage comes with a water bottle right? It’s the only thing you don’t mention.Get a wheel. These guys have lots of energy and need the wheel to run and get exersize. You need chew toys. Don’t worry, they are cheap. Just get them from the pet store so you know they aren’t toxic.A hiding spot or little house is an extra. They sell some really cute ones, but if you want to wait that’s fine. The hamster will make it’s own bed.

The life expectancy is about 2 years. Like you said you don’t know how old it was before you got it. It sounds as if it just passed away from natural causes.

A standard hamster is a wild brown color. Teddy bear hamsters are called teddy bears due to there long hair…..No bigger no smaller just long hair….

  8. mshonnie Says:

You don’t really need to wash all you need is a clean new paintbrush and brush the teddy off thats it, he will be clean and like new again without washing or irritating detergents left behind or you can simply dust the teddy with Baking soda and Cornstarch mixed leave on for about fifteen minutes then brush off with the paintbrush the teddy will be clean and no water or harsh detergents were use that can ruin stuffed animals Good Luck !

Both are Syrian hamsters, bigger than dwarf hamsters. They are just different colors.A Teddy Bear hamster:http://www.freewebs.com/loisjean1934/-%20New%20Folder/49TeddyBearHamster.jpgA Black Bear hamster:http://www.petoftheday.com/archive/2007/February/02.jpgHope I helped!
