I'm looking for free sites to print vintage and antique Crochet Patterns ?
Hello. I am looking for as many free vintage crochet patterns as I can possibly get! For Christmas this year, I am compiling a huge folder of patterns for my Mom. She loves to crochet with vintage patterns, Vintage Crochet but has so many books in her collection already, I'm scared to buy her any more (in case I accidentally get duplicates of ones she already owns). So, I went out and bought a whole bunch of paper and ink to print a large assortment of them. I am looking for doilies (pineapple patterns especially), and any other pattern from the 1950's and before. I do have many already, but am still looking for more. So I thought this would be a great way for everyone to post links to sites and free ebooks of their favorite patterns so that we can all share. Thanks!!!

Ooh, i love the vintage edging books. I just bought a few the other day to do pillows as well. What i did for the first one was to crochet the edging and then take a thread that matches and stitch them very carefully around the wide hem on the pillowcase. Mine is not hanging free off the edge of the pillow, its more laying on the wide seam and its sewed at both the top and the bottom of the edging, if that makes sense. Its more like an applique. That actually took me longer than the crocheting, when you consider that i washed and ironed the pillowcases, washed and ironed the edging (i was afraid that it might block bigger than i originally planned on), pinned it to the pillowcase, and then was VERY careful about making my stitches small and strong, but still pretty from both sides. I might do the sheets too, actually, on the top hem i was thinking about doing the edging there too, if i have the time. Otherwise I did buy the matching sheets. If i ever did this for myself I’d be tempted to do the bed skirt, too, but I’d chose a pattern that isn’t as fussy, I’d want it to be more simple.

you can always pair a simple plain white blouse with your pants. as for your tights, pair it with a short plain dress. remember not to over-do it because lace/floral tights already adds the “oomph”.

I never ever wear hats. In highschool I was in the drill team, and we had to wear a cowboy hat as a part of our uniform every week. It just ruined hats for me as a whole.

I’d wear a cute, flowy tunic dress or eyelet dress. Try http://www.forever21.com, they have lots of casual dresses that still look great.
